Extreme Restraints - Bondage Gear & Fetish Store

Imma Scratch You!

Every kink product website has many of the same products. You can get a pair of handcuffs anywhere. So I set out to dig through everything that Extreme Restraints has to offer in order to highlight the products that are more unique and special to them. These are the products that make ExtremeRestraints.com special.

WARNING: This article contains more images of naked people and sexual content than usual. I don’t know why you would ever have this website up at work, but just in case, here is your warning that there are going to be boobs and dick and pussy everywhere.  (more…)

Review: EasySex.com :: SCAM ALERT!

Posted: November 4, 2015 by Isaac Cross in Reviews, Reviews (Web)

UPDATE 11/30/15: Fetlife seems to have pulled the ad after we alerted them to the site’s practices. Good for them.

UPDATE 11/6/15: Despite the fact that I was careful to avoid all the sneaky hidden check boxes all over the site, today, the website charged by credit card $81.85. I immediate got on the phone and notified them that my entire session on their website had been recorded and that I can prove those charges were never authorized. They quickly reversed the charges, but I won’t have the refund (most likely) for a week or so.

So if you can’t afford to have nearly $100 taken from you, do not, under any circumstances, give this website your credit card information.

The bottom line: They lie about what you will be able to do when you sign up, they attempt to trick you into signing up for more than you want, and they will try to get an exorbitant amount of money from you for something that is available for free all over the internet. You will have almost no ability to do anything without forking over money, and once you do, you will struggle to get them to stop charging you. Your best bet, STAY AWAY!!! (DatingBusters.com agrees with me)

I saw this ad on Fetlife and decided to go check it out. Because that’s what I’m here for. I dig through the garbage of the internet so that you don’t have to.  (more…)

Buy the documentary film “KINK” on DVD or digital download here

A relatively new addition to Netflix Instant Watch (if you are into that sort of thing) is a documentary film called “Kink”. If you don’t have Netflix, you can get it on Amazon here.

As always, I was relatively cautious when opening the description of the video. Most films that make it onto Netflix that have a sexual bent are pretty horrible and I expected this to be the same.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is a documentary about the people and projects of the good folks at Kink.Com and that it was produced by (of all people) James Franco. Yes, that James Franco. (more…)

Kink as a Sexual Orientation

Posted: September 14, 2014 by Isaac Cross in Learn Something, Philosophy, Reviews, Reviews (Web)

In lieu of “Mailbag Monday” today, I wanted to give an extended answer to a question posed in a discussion group that I am a member of.

Last month, Slate published an article by Jillian Keenan titled “Is Kink a Sexual Orientation?” There has since been an ongoing debate about this question. As it happens, I began to identify kink as MY orientation just a month or so before the article came out. So when someone asked the question in this discussion of what we all thought of the article, I was happy to answer from my own experience. Here is that answer, edited only slightly.

Ever wonder why people in a political party, who are ordinarily diverse and varied, all seem to hold the same opinions when it comes time to vote? Ever wonder why kinky people, who rant about society judging us, all seem to be so judgmental of each other?

Well, there is actually a science to this. Call it peer-pressure or conformity, but it is a fascinating subject either way.

Watch this video. It’s ten minutes long and will make you a better person. And he will tell you why it will make you a better person at 7:10 into the video. But don’t cheat and skip ahead. At about 5:50, start thinking about communities that you are a part of, whether kinky or political or hobby based. I bet you’ll recognize some things.

After you’ve watched the video, read the rest of this post for my favorite parts and a few extra thoughts.

Hang on tight, kids. This is a long post.

Recently, blogger Franklin Veaux created a “Map of Non-Monogamy” which has been circulating around the internet and gaining popularity. Personally, I like it. Visual representations of complex concepts are always helpful. But that said, I do have some criticisms, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
