What To Expect From My First Munch
I am planning to go to a munch for the first time next week. What should I expect? Should I dress a certain way? Help me out!
A much is an informal gathering of kinky people, usually at a public place like a restaurant or bar, designed to allow people to meet others with similar interests outside of the club atmosphere. These events are usually less intimidating that play parties or BDSM Club events, and usually have very few requirements.
The short answer to the question would be that you should contact whoever is organizing the particular munch that you are attending and ask them the same questions.
Generally, munches will encourage people not to wear anything that will attract undue attention. Wear whatever you would normally wear for the venue and avoid clothes which are overly revealing or have adult images or phrases on them, especially if the venue is one likely to have children present.
What you can expect is a very welcoming and friendly group of people who are usually willing to answer any and all questions you might have. There is usually a core group of regulars who have been in the community for a while and attend the munch regularly.
Don’t go into the event looking for a date. That might happen, but you will get the most out of the event if you simply enjoy the company and the conversation, rather than being focused on who you are attracted to and whether they are available.
Overall, treat a munch just like you would any other casual public gathering. Relax, be nice, and enjoy yourself.
